“Every guy I approached was enthusiastic,” says team captain Pat Murphy. “Each team member worked his own network for donations, but we kept the pressure on with good-natured e-mails and texts boasting about our individual successes. It was lots of fun and very motivating.”
Founded in 2004, Movember aims to change the face of men’s health. Using the symbolic power of the moustache, the registered charity raises awareness and money to reduce preventable men’s deaths from prostate and testicular cancers and from declining mental health.
“Good health begins with disease prevention,” says Jim Adams of Chris James Kingston, the team sponsor since 2012. “As a homegrown company, we’re proud to coordinate local efforts that support these ideals.” In addition to sponsoring the team, Chris James donated $50 from each suit sale during the month of November to the campaign.
